As co-founder of Brillect, Erica thrives on creating win-win opportunities by connecting brilliant talent with fulfilling career opportunities. Grounded by her commitment to helping people, she’s found the perfect union in matching consultants with roles that bring joy back into their work – and more flexibility in their lives – while helping clients tap into the right talent to advance their goals.
A seasoned finance and accounting executive, Erica pulls from a deep well of experience to guide her clients and consultants. She holds a B.A. in Accounting from Minnesota State University – Moorhead and is a CPA. Her tenure spans from a Big Four firm to global Fortune 500’s to a consultancy, serving in a variety of roles for PricewaterhouseCoopers, Target Corporation, Lawson Software, Best Buy and Salo.
Kelly loves getting to know people, hearing what brings them joy and helping them succeed – at work and at home. She believes work should be energizing, challenging and a community you can’t wait to join every day. From helping her clients solve complex problems to working with consultants to advance their career goals while finding balance at home, Kelly is committed to helping others be their best.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Kelly started her career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen and spent many years in compliance, project management and audit roles before making the leap to providing consulting and contract services. After her most recent position as an Account Executive at Microsoft, she co-founded Brillect to create a place where people can thrive in their careers and personal lives.
As a working mom of two daughters, Kristine has always had the desire to “do it all.” Believing there had to be a better way to work, Kristine co-founded Brillect to bring a new approach to balancing work + life. Kristine is proud to connect high-performing professionals desiring flexibility with finance and accounting leaders looking to partner with experienced, results-oriented talent.
Kristine brings a unique on-the-ground, been in your shoes credibility to her role as a trusted advisor to clients and consultants. She holds a BSB in Accounting and MBA with an emphasis in Finance from the Carlson School of Management, where she currently serves on the Alumni Board, and is also a CPA (inactive). She began her career in audit at Arthur Andersen and Deloitte and spent 18 years in progressively senior roles in Accounting, FP&A, and Treasury at Target Corporation.

This multi-faceted background is key to his role as Client Solutions Director at Brillect, providing him a unique understanding of how to successfully bring teams together to drive results that deliver a win-win for all involved. Drawing upon his experience, Jon ensures each client’s roadmap to success is paved with the right team to succeed, collaborating with clients to define their goals and developing the strategy needed to reach those goals.

Meg O’Hara is the consummate finance professional, bringing more than 20 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, systems implementation and change management at companies including Optum, Target and Lifetouch. She’s a networker extraordinaire, top-notch troubleshooter, and a 360-degree collaborator who knows how to build effective teams.
As Client Solutions Director, Meg works hand-in-hand with our clients to quickly identify what needs to get done and connect them with the right person to do it. Her charismatic, outgoing personality make her an expert relationship builder with both clients and consultants, and trust us, once you’re introduced, you’ll feel like you’ve known her for years.
Cathy McComb fits into her role as Client Solutions Manager like a puzzle piece, combining her passion for accounting with her love for meeting new people and building relationships.
As a CPA with 15 years of experience in public accounting and small business back-office support, Cathy has a deep understanding and perspective of what it takes to get the job done for her clients. She’s able to quickly jump in and add value, bring fresh insight, and chart the best path forward based on each client’s unique needs. She enjoys the challenge of finding the right person for the right role with the right strategy for her clients – not just filling the seat. Melodie Carlson has enjoyed an impressive 25-year career that spans Fortune 500 and mid-sized companies across a variety of industries. As a self-professed extrovert and embracer of challenges, she loves meeting new people, problem-solving and fostering connections. She describes her new role as Client Solutions Director as the perfect fit, enabling her to do all the things she loves most in a singular role.
She is a deep well of C-suite experience and her previous roles within retail, public accounting and financial institution sectors enable her to “walk the talk” when guiding clients to real-world solutions that best serve their goals. Tina Arend is a seasoned finance executive with more than 30 years of experience with companies ranging from small non-profits to publicly traded multi-billion-dollar corporations. As a Principal Consultant with Brillect, she brings her broad depth of experience as a former CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, Auditor and other finance leadership roles to bear for our clients.
Initially drawn to Brillect’s focus on taking care of people, she loves building on their shared high standards, impeccable levels of client service and consultative approach. An extrovert at heart, she enjoys bridging connections for Brillect with her extensive network of finance professionals to help fuel further growth with clients and continue to develop Brillect’s pipeline of high-quality talent.
With extensive experience in corporate finance, strategy and operations, Mollie Mikl has held a broad range of roles across UnitedHealth Group, most recently as Senior Director of Finance for a global division. She’s an exceptional process improvement resource and is highly regarded for her ability to synthesize complex data, zero in on the most critical elements and present it in an actionable, visually compelling way to C-Suite executives.
Leveraging her reputation as a calm-under-pressure pinch hitter who loves to get in, “figure it out” and deliver a home run, Mollie is a natural relationship builder who finds joy in helping clients advance their objectives by deploying the right combination of strategy and talent.
While some love the limelight, Kate Ferrian’s passion lies behind the scenes. As a Business Operations Associate at Brillect, Sam Mathiowetz serves in a lead accounting role with responsibility for bookkeeping, financial reporting and contract administration. With a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, Sam knows her stuff. She also has an extensive background in accounting and tax formed while working for Volunteers of America, Walser Automotive Group and Caliber Accounting.

If there is one common thread throughout Heather Lund’s 20-year career in the staffing and recruiting industry, it is her passion for helping people develop their full potential. As an expert in training, coaching and leadership development, she enjoys helping people at all levels do their job more effectively and efficiently so they can achieve their goals.
In her role as Director of Training & Development, Heather creates onboarding, training, and leadership development programs to support our talented client solutions team.
